Here are the details of some of our paediatric services:
Private Paediatric ENT
Paediatric ENT conditions to be assessed by Ms. Espeso at Tayside Complete Health Clinic:
· Recurrent sore throat or throat infections (tonsillitis)
Might require tonsillectomy (removal of tonsils)
· Constant blocked nose, might be due to:
o Enlarged adenoids (tissue at the back of the nose)- might need Adenoidectomy
o Hayfever/allergic rhinitis/chronic rhinitis
· Recurrent nose bleeds- might be treated in clinic
· Hearing loss – if due to “glue ear” (fluid in the middle part of the ear), might need grommet insertion- a small plastic which allows air to enter the middle ear, preventing fluid building up.
· Recurrent ear pain
· Recurrent ear discharge (with or without wax)- might need grommet insertion
· Ear drum perforation-A perforation is a permanent hole on the eardrum- might require an operation called myringoplasty/tympanoplasty
· Other ear conditions: Cholesteatoma (a sac of dead skin cells forms in a pocket in the middle ear)
