Why use Tayside Complete Health for private medical care?

Making the choice to use private medicine is very individual; but whether you have healthcare insurance or not, the choice to seek private medical care is often a balance of cost versus benefit. The benefits of attending Tayside Complete Health include:

  • Time - we offer a range of appointments that suit you and without the waiting times usually associated with the NHS.

  • Choice - patients at Tayside Complete Health can choose their preferred consultant, in a timescale that suits, with the choice to accept or decline tests and/or treatments at any stage of their consultation.

  • Personalised care - it's your health so you need to be at the centre of everything we do. At Tayside Complete Health, we build a personalised package of care, within which our team of Specialists can work seamlessly to deliver the best advice and treatment for the individual patient.

We offer a range of private medical services from our Dundee offices. Our team can help you select the service you require while keeping you the patient at the centre; ensuring you get specialist care when you need it.

How do I book an appointment?

Contact the team by email or phone 01382 549088 or online and we'll be happy to help you.

Do I need to be referred by my GP?

No we accept self referral for most consultation types and you can book an appointment without one.

However, referral from your GP may be considered best practice as they will be aware of your medical history and can pass helpful information to the clinic.

If you have private health insurance, it is worth asking your insurer if a GP referral is necessary.

Ask your GP or healthcare professional to refer you to Tayside Complete Health or contact the team by email or phone 01382 549088 and we'll be happy to help you.

When I attend for the first time, do I need to bring any paperwork?

Please bring details of your insurance policy, or, if you are Self-Pay, some form of photo ID and proof of address.

Who will see me?

All our Specialists are highly experienced accredited experts in their field. You can choose the name of your clinician when you book.

How much does it cost and how do I pay?

Prices depend on what services you book but the vast majority of our services are much more affordable that you might think - click here to see our self pay prices.

We also offer finance for specific services. Click here to learn more. Please speak to a member of our team to confirm what is covered by the loan as there may be additional costs you are unaware of, such as consultation fee’s or lab fee’s.

The consultation price will cover the consultation element. Should you require further treatment you are under no obligation to proceed and we will provide a quotation at every step (this is available in writing on request).

Some procedures (such as biopsies) also require a pathology cost - these will be in addition to the procedure cost but will be identified in advance. You have the right to accept or decline care at every stage.

We accept most major credit cards and are accepted by most major health insurance companies. For more complex cases we offer personal finance through a trusted partner.
